Do you suffer from insomnia? Mindfulness can help.

A recent study published in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) Internal Medicine, indicates that Mindfulness meditation is a better approach for a good night’s sleep than conventional methods.
The study by the University of Southern California, which looked at older adults with insomnia, also found that mindfulness meditation had a positive effect on depression and reducing daytime fatigue.
And of course once you have learnt mindfulness, you always have the ability to manage insomnia yourself without having to rely on sleep medication and deal with the risks associated with them.
Capital Pain and Rehabilitation Clinic regularly run a six week mindfulness course which is open to pain patients and the wider public. For more information contact our friendly reception team on 02 6282 6240.
